Proposed housing development to the north of Haxby

Haxby Town Council (HTC) fully understands and appreciates the concerns that residents have regarding the proposed housing development to the north of Haxby.

HTC has already submitted comments to City of York Council (CYC) outlining the various concerns regarding local infrastructure and services. The full details of that submission can be found at the following link:

Haxby Town Council: 800 houses development - land to the south of Rose Cottage Farm and the Lodge, Moor Lane, Haxby - the council's objections

HTC intends to submit further comments to CYC when the amended planning application is submitted.

HTC has procured the services of a specialist planning consultant to assist with this process.

HTC has arranged a public meeting with representatives of the developer so that residents can ask them questions about the proposed development. This public meeting will be held at 7pm on Monday 26 February 2024 at the Oaken Grove Community Centre.

HTC will continue to publicise this issue and will take any further action deemed necessary to ensure that the proposed development does not adversely impact residents.
