Ethel Ward Playing Field

The Ethel Ward playing field is held in trust and administered by Haxby Town Council and is well used by local sports clubs. The following facilities are in place:

Two full size football pitches
Two fenced netball courts
A multigames wall
A youth shelter
A sports pavilion with changing facilities
A well equipped children's play area

There is also a purpose built car park adjacent to the field, where overnight parking is prohibited unless permission is given by the Town council.

The annual Haxby Carnival is held on the field in July.

Dogs are prohibited at all times from the Ethel Ward Playing Field as is hitting golf balls.

All enquiries regarding the use of the Ethel Ward playing field are to be made to the Town Council Office.
